Advice for Life on the River

Proverbs 22:6:
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

My thoughts, midflip? Clear as a bell:
Don't drop the paddle.
After all those years of safety talks, you could say I have been thoroughly trained!
My dad would be so proud.

Way to keep the paddle. And I'm glad you didn't die.

What's funny is you were probably doing this craziness the same weekend when I called to say you'd be proud of me for going kayaking... Not surprisingly, however, my kayaking experience did *not* look like that. Not even close. You are tough stuff, my friend.
